I liked the way it was changing the world. But in too many ways I felt like I was selling my soul by participating. I want my end product to matter. I don’t want to make money just to make money. In other words, I want to do more than just shuffle bits. I want to save lives.
Variety is reporting that “After an exhaustive search, NBC has chosen British actress Michelle Ryan for the lead role of Jamie Sommers in its upcoming Bionic Woman pilot. The network reported considered better-known stars, but ultimately went with someone who’ll be a newcomer to most American viewers. I’m just a normal guy. So, if you post a description of yourself in the company facebook archive, try to keep it simple. If I have to check out Wikipedia to find out that a “pescatarian” doesn’t eat land animals, I don’t feel enlightened, further educated, or hopeful for social justice. But… why the delay? I mean, that was nearly five years ago. Well, life intervened. First of all, I had to go back and take classes. Then I had to take the MCAT (Medical College Admision Test). Then a tragic family event occurred. This delayed my application by two more years. So here I am now, ready and raring to go after waiting for this for a long time.
